About The Parade

A Tractor in the Charity Parade Suffolk
From Local Spirit to Suffolk Tradition

One crazy idea.

The Suffolk Tractor Light Parade began with a simple but powerful idea from Liz Quickenden, to raise money for good causes while spreading some festive cheer.

What followed has been a remarkable show of generosity, kindness, and community spirit.

Thanks to the dedication of local people, police support, and an ever-growing team of volunteers and marshals, the event has grown safely year after year.

From its humble beginnings, it has become a much-loved county tradition, lighting up towns like Wickham Market, Woodbridge, Rendlesham, and Tunstall, and raising thousands for charities including the East Anglian Air Ambulance, Suffolk Libraries, and the Eastern Community Assistance Team.

Lights That Make a Difference

£23,758.16 raised to date

The parade is more than just a festive event — it’s a fundraiser that brings together families, businesses, and entire villages to support life-saving charities. With each year, the number of participants, spectators, and donations continues to grow.

From cheering children to glowing reviews in local media, the impact is felt far beyond the lights.
